What’s in our candy?

Of course, we want all our candy to taste great, but we also care deeply about quality and transparency. Here are the details on our most commonly used—and frequently asked about—ingredients.

A simple carbohydrate found naturally in plants like beets and sugarcane that provides sweetness, flavor, and contributes to the texture and color of our candy.

Purified, concentrated solutions of carbohydrates extracted from corn that provide body, control crystallization, and help our products stay fresh. We do not use High Fructose Corn Syrup in any of our products.

Carbohydrates derived from corn that act as a gelling agent, providing body and the soft, chewy texture in our candies.

A protein-rich gelling agent derived from pork that creates PEEPS® marshmallow’s signature light, soft texture with a creamy bite.

Dry roasted medium runner split peanuts meeting exacting standards for color, texture, and moisture that deliver the undeniably crunchy experience in GOLDENBERG’S® PEANUT CHEWS®.

Highly regulated food additives like Red 40 and Yellow 5 that enhance the vibrant appeal of our candies, with each batch meeting FDA standards before use.

A food-grade edible coating derived from tree sap that provides a high-gloss finish and protects our candy from humidity and temperature changes.
